Introduction to sewing with knits – Sew Your Own Coco

Using the lovely Coco pattern by Tilly Walnes of The Great British Sewing Bee (2013), you will conquer your fear of working with knit/stretch fabrics.

Choose to make either a simple t-shirt style top or knee length dress, with or without cuffs and a 60’s style neckline. You will need to provide your own fabric and pattern (advice will be given on this at the time of your booking) We recommend you add the collar and cuffs as this will teach you more skills.  You can then re-make the pattern at home and exclude them if you wish.  The short sleeved skater dress style shown in the images is possible to make in an hour at home as it requires no additional trimmings!

You will be required to bring 2 metres of Ponte de Roma Jersey fabric in the colour of your choice. We have written a handy blog post to help you purchase you fabric. (high street size 8-14) If you fall outside of this size bracket please contact us so we can discuss your fabric requirements in more detail.

You will need a copy of the pattern, this can be purchased anywhere online but if you choose to use the link below we will earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. (affiliate link)
