Where else could you have your own personal sewing tutor at your beck and call for only £10 a month?

Join our club and have access to a huge number of online sewing courses available to work your way through with help, support and guidance from Claire Mackaness – Owner and teacher at Beautiful Things Headquarters (BTHQ).

There are 3 levels to our sewing club:  The Bronze Lounge, The Silver Lounge & The Gold Lounge.

Once you’ve completed all three projects in the Bronze lounge you are ‘upgraded’ to the next lounge and so on and so on.

As you gain more knowledge and experience the courses get more detailed and complicated, always teaching you new skills and always taught in a fun and lighthearted way, making it easy to complete each task with ease.

You will start by making a lovely doorstop with a zipped base.  Your next project will be our wonderful lay flat drawstring makeup bag and then a pencil case to excite all you planner and notebook addicts with added features guaranteed to get you whipped up into a frenzy!

If you would like to join ‘the club’ here’s how it’s going to work:

The Sew Beautiful Things Sewing Club offers you a Bi Monthly sewing project to work on. Joining this community gives you access to our in house designs and tutorials and the support of your fellow group members and tutors from Beautiful Things to help you out along the way.

The group costs £5 to join and then £30.00 a quarter to remain a member. Quarterly subs will commence mid August 2019. (You do not have to pay this now) your joining fee will secure you a place in the group.  Numbers are limited and the doors to the group will only open a couple of times a year.

We reserve the right to put the price up during the course of the year, but should you join now we will honour these rates for the lifetime of your membership.

In a nutshell for the equivalent of £10.00 per month you will receive guidance to make 3 beautiful sewing projects during the course of 6 months.  The projects remain yours to access for as long as you like and there is no rush to get finished, but know that when you do complete all 3, you will be upgraded to the Silver Lounge where you can access a whole bunch of additional courses!

Every other month you will receive written instructions, a pattern and a full video tutorial. All items will require minimal materials to make.

All you need is a sewing machine and some basic tools.

Doors to the club are now OPEN!  If you’d like to join in the fun, simply pay the joining fee of £5 using the button below.  This will reserve your spot in our next cohort and we will add you into the Bronze lounge once your membership starts. (A private Facebook group. If you don’t use Facebook I am afraid there is no alternative option at this point but we are working on it).

In August, just before the 1st course is sent out you will be sent a subscription link to pay your first quarterly subscription of £30.00  Once we have received your subscription you will receive your 1st project on September 9th.

You can remain a member of the group for as long as you continue to pay your quarterly subscription fees and are welcome to leave/cancel your subscription at any time.

Upgrades to the SILVER lounge are only possible after the completion of all 3 beginner projects but the discretion of your teacher may allow early upgrade if the projects are deemed too simple for your current skills.

Love this group. Clear friendly explanations and such a. Friendly group to ask questions in. I’m a fairly accomplished sewist but I’m still learning new things with all the projects. Thanks Claire for an amazing club and great space to learn in

This is The Best sewing group, great to always have a project to look forward to and friendly, expert tuition and help from start to finish :) It’s a big plus to be able to go at my own pace. And the group set-up is genius, lovely to be inspired by the others, have a bit of chit chat, get assistance, and all just easy going and friendly. Can’t recommend Beautiful Things highly enough. Claire is a wonder woman and a really great teacher!

I joined this club because i don’t have the luxury of attending many F2F sessions for a number of reasons.
I was a little apprehensive, as a novice, on how I was going to cope but I honestly didn’t need to worry. I’ve joined a group of very supportive people not just to me but to everyone and it’s a lovely feeling to be part of something you enjoy.
Claire gave me my very first lesson 18 months ago (a gift from my hubby) and I was hooked and now to have the ability to continue to learn and do something I enjoy with her continued support (and the other members) but at my own pace is fantastic.
    Highly recommended :-)

My first experience of an online sewing group. Clear and helpful video tutorials and guidance notes from Claire. Lots of friendly help and support in the Facebook group where we get to share our queries and photos of our makes. I’ve already gained confidence in using new fabrics and techniques, with support from like-minded sewing enthusiasts in the group who are always happy to answer questions about what to buy and where from.

I’ve spend much of my hard earned cash buying sewing magazines and trying to hone my newbie sewing skills by following a cartoon strip instruction in the publication which was never easy and more frustrating. With the sewing club I still get my fix of the project plopping on my email doormat but I also get video instructions, my sewing mentor Claire within easy reach and the support and friendship community of all the other club members on Facebook. Thoroughly recommend this club 100%

Having tried and lovely Claire’s online crochet classes I knew she was a great teacher and how easy her lessons were to follow. I joined this club to increase the number and variety of sewing projects I undertake and it’s done just that. I love the fact that I can do it whenever I like and for as much or as little time as I like. It’s great to see what everyone else in the group makes and easy to get help or ideas if you need them. And it’s great for using up your stash (as well as an excuse to buy more gorgeous fabric of course).

    Sew glad I joined!! :)

I am currently part of the first cohort and loving the projects. Claire is always available to offer help and advice. The best part has been sharing what we have made with the other members of the club to get lots of ideas for designs and material to buy

I am an absolute novice to sewing.

I thought I would need some expert skills.
    I did not! Yay!

The instructions are clear and concise.
I am dyslexic so I love the fact you can re-read and play videos back.
All instructions are easy to read too.

I love each project that Claire creates.
Not only are the projects beautiful they are practical too.

I feel I am apart of a sewing community sharing ideas, sourcing materials and showing off our work.

Any problems can be brought to Claire’s attention if stuck.

No pressure to complete by a certain time.
All in our own time with our busy bee days.

It gives me time to myself from being a mum of two and wife.

I have felt inspired to make more of the projects!

    It is a lovely course.
    Thank you Claire :)
