Beautiful Things are delighted to be welcoming back the lovely Sian from Kittenish Behaviour to teach for us again.
Sian has previously taught her succesful NCW weekender course with us back in 2018 and this time she returns to teach you all how to make the lovely Annette Commuter Tote from Swoon Patterns.
This class is suitable to anyone who can follow simple sewing instructions and is able to operate a machine to a good standard, threading and changing feet and able to press, cut and assemble fabric parts.
All of the hardware to make the bag (Silver), the pattern and interfacing will be provided for you on this occasion. You will need to provide your fabric & zips (details of this are given at the bottom of the page).
The workshop will commence at 9.30am on Saturday and continue until 5pm. On the Sunday we will commence at the slightly later time of 10am and continue until approx 4pm or until we are finished up.
Please bring a packed lunch with you on both days, tea & coffee are available all day long and is included in the cost of your class. If you are travelling and staying in a hotel without access to your car then we can arrange to get you a packed lunch on your way into the studio.
As we are opening our second craft studio to accommodate an additional 5 sewists there are only 7 machine spaces available. If you have your own sewing machine and are happy to bring it, please book a non machine space saving the machines we have available for those travelling from further afield or by public transport. All you need to bring is your fabric, some tools (we have enough in house for you to borrow if you are travelling a fair distance) and yourself!
Places are limited to 12 so we advise you to book in plenty of time.
Should you wish to stay in the hotel for either 1,2 or 3 nights then we would like to recommend the travel lodge in West Horndon. The hotel is approx 5 minutes away from the studio by car or in a taxi and we will do our best to ensure everyone who needs to be at the studio can be ferried about so that they are in the right place at the right time even if that means we have to book you all a joint taxi if you are in the hotel. These are fine details and can be arranged for you by Claire nearer the time. There is plenty of free parking at BTHQ for anyone who drives. We will be arranging an evening get together on the Saturday night at the pub next door to the hotel so it’s a good choice and very reasonably priced. Their family rooms sleep up to 4 (1 x double bed & 2 full sized single beds) and are great for groups of friends to share the cost.
