Wed 7th Aug (9:30 – 12:00), Fri 30th Aug (14:30 – 17:00
This is a childrens sewing class to learn how to make these lovely drawstring backpacks with eyelet details.
Parents or carers are asked to stay with their child and encouraged to join in with the process. Although the teaching will be focussed on the child using the sewing machine and cutting and preparing their project, working as a team is part o the fun and the process.
Price is per child, carers are able to bring more than 1 child (if you have siblings for instance) but must be responsible for both at all times.
Class is age 7+ for guidance, but please be guided by your own child as only you know them best. If they are unlikely to focus on a task for 2 hours and give it their full attention then it may not be the best activity for them. Likewise, if you have a very eager 6-year old who is desperate to sew and you think they would be able then we will not turn them away!
Pupils are required to provide 1/2 metre of patterned 100% cotton quilting cotton for the main bag and 1/2 metre of plain coloured fabric for the accents and lining. + 3 metres of cotton cord in a colour of their choice. All other materials and equipment will be provided.
