This is a next steps knitting class for anyone who has taken our beginners class or who can already knit & purl, cast on and cast off.
Learn to knit this simple shawl which will allow you to understand a basic pattern, increase and shape your work and create eyelets.
It’s a lovely finished item which can be worn around the shoulders in a traditional style or bandana style as a cosy scarf in the winter months.
Your will need a 300g ball of variegated Aran yarn to create this shawl and 4mm needles (ideally on a 100cm cable although you can start off on straights until your work gets too big).
If you would like to make the exact shawl in the pictures we used 1 ball of each colour (7 in total) of this yarn, purchased from Sconch https://www.sconch.com/adriafil-zebrino-aran
