Shapes and patterns
During this two-part intermediate session, you will learn how to make shapes such as circles and squares, increase, decrease and follow a pattern to create granny squares and granny stripe. You will be taught techniques such as changing colour, crocheting over your ends and darning in. By the end of this session, you should be able to follow a basic pattern and be well on your way to making decorative items, garments and blankets.
This class is suitable for those who have already undertaken part 1 of our complete course (Crochet for beginners) or those of you who have mastered a chain, double and treble crochet and are able to hold the wool well enough to create a neat tension block
All materials are provided and you will also get access to our online training videos that are usually only available to our Semi Virtual online pupils. These can be accessed online indefinitely following your course as a reminder of what you have learned.
If you simply cannot wait to get started then we also run this course as a Semi Virtual option. You will receive a kit and access to our online videos and support group and can start as soon as your kit arrives in the post. Alternatively, if you would rather dedicate time to your learning you can book to come into the studio with your iPad or laptop and undertake your course with Claire on hand should you get stuck (not that you will). Just order your kit and drop a line in the description box requesting some time slots and we will give you a call.
We currently have no dates for this course listed, however, if you would be interested in aking an in-person class with Claire please contact us to arrange a suitable time and date
