Fri 11th Jan (12.30 – 15.00), Sat 6th April (14.30 – 17.00)
These lovely little clutch bags are a great way of using up your scrap fabrics or making a bag to co-ordinate with a dress you have made in class.
You will need to bring along 1 fat quarter of 100% quilting weight cotton for your outside and another fat quarter for your lining. A 6″ glue in clasp in the colour of your choice, with or without internal loops and chain. (We recommend you buy your clasps from the following supplier as we have been using them for some time and can rely on the quality of their goods https://www.bag-clasps.co.uk/glue-in-frames-c18.htm) You will also require a tube of Gutterman textile glue. This can be purchased from the same supplier here https://www.bag-clasps.co.uk/gutermann-textile-glue-1-tube-i1308.htm (don’t panic if a red tube arrives in the post the packaging has changed). You will have enough glue for 4 purses and we find these to be super addictive so you may wish to purchase more than 1 frame while you are shopping!
Perfect gifts for friends and you can use whatever beautiful or wacky design takes your fancy!
PLEASE NOTE: We have allowed 2.5 hours for this class but it usually does not take that long. If you have a school run to do on our January date you are very likely to get away in time but will need to take home your bag whilst it is still tacky.
