This beautiful shawl is so easy to hook up and grows really, really quickly. You just need to be ale to do a treble crochet and hold you hook and you are off!
The first 8 rows are the fiddliest bits so during class we will get you started and well on your way to finishing your shawl at home.
All the pictures shown here are from members of our online crochet club who have enjoyed making this virtually together during October 2017. Imagine how easy you will find it having Claire on hand to get you started.
You will need 200g of variegated DK yarn. It looks nicest in a hand dyed skein but you can also buy some lovely acrylic yarns in the shops. Just make sure it’s soft and squidgy. If you do buy hand dyed and it comes in a skein, be sure to pop into BTHQ to use our yarn winder and swift to get it caked up and ready to use before class as you cannot work directly from the skein. Alternatively find a willing pair of hands and ball it up by hand!
You will also need to purchase a copy of the Fronds shawl pattern and bring it along with you. Don’t be tempted to start before class though as we will be working on it together! We pride ourselves in supporting independent pattern designers so think it’s only fair that you all buy your own copy and the designer earns the wage she deserves.
