A great class to master crochet beanie hat making. learn how to do the math required to make a hat that will fit the recipient perfectly as well as an invisible join meaning your hat does not have an ugly line running up the back.
You will need to be able to crochet to a basic level understanding how to follow a simple pattern. We will be using a 5mm and a 6mm hook with chunky yarn so that you can finish your hats crown and begin to come down the sides of your hat. If you are a speedy hooker you may complete your hat during the class, however if you do not there will only be a few rounds to go and you will have ‘learnt’ all you need to know during the time allotted.
Please bring with you 2 balls of chunky yarn (We recommend Stylecraft Special chunky as it is lovely to work with) a 5mm and a 6mm hook. These are available to purchase at BTHQ if you do not own one already.
Why not also book onto our Crochet Owl Hat class and convert your basic beanie into an owl hat. This class runs a few weeks after the beanie class so you can complete a simple hat in time for the owl conversion!
Please note evening classes take place at Claires home in BILLERICAY – Weekend classes take place at our Studio in BRENTWOOD.
